Nov 25, Kathmandu - The International Cricket Council (ICC) has drawn up the groups for the 10th edition of the Men's T20 World Cup. The 20 teams participating in the tournament have been divided into four groups.
According to the group division made by the ICC, Nepal has got three Test nations as its opponents. Nepal has been placed in Group 'C' of the tournament. The group includes strong Test nations England, West Indies and Bangladesh. In addition, Italy is also in Nepal's group.
India and Pakistan, two arch-rivals in world cricket, have been drawn in Group A. The group also includes the United States, the Netherlands and Namibia. The next edition of the T20 World Cup will be held jointly in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, 2026.
Group B includes Australia, Ireland, Oman, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Group D of the tournament includes Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The detailed match schedule is expected to be made public by Tuesday evening.
