Meeting Between the Minister of Health and Representatives of Health Sector Donor Agencies

Nov 25, Kathmandu -  Minister of Health and Population Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam has held a courtesy call on representatives of bilateral donor agencies working in the health sector in Nepal.

The courtesy call was held with representatives of the US Embassy in Nepal, Patrick S. Gunn and Nur Pant, representatives of the German Embassy, ​​Benjamin Seider and Jan Drick Sen, representatives of the British Embassy, ​​Diego Moroso and Dr. Deepak, representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mizuki Matsazuki and Krishna Prasad Lamsal, representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Srishti Chitrakar and Milan Maharjan.

During the meeting, Minister Gautam expressed her gratitude for the support provided by the donor agencies in improving Nepal's health system. She said that maternal and child health, mental health, health insurance reform, capacity building of the National Drug Laboratory, and improving the health of Nepali migrant workers are among the top priorities of the ministry.

Representatives of the donor agencies also expressed their commitment to continue supporting the priority programs of the Government of Nepal in the field of public health.
