Nov 27, Kathmandu - Midwestern University, Surkhet, has started the preparation of a five-year strategic plan.
The Midwestern University Planning Development and Monitoring Directorate has started the interaction and collection of suggestions related to the preparation of the plan today at Narayan Multiple Campus, Dailekh.
At the program, former MP Rabindra Raj Sharma suggested formulating a plan to produce human resources that can be consumed in line with the needs of the society and the demand of the labor market.
Dr. Bishnukumar Khadka, Executive Director of the Midwestern University Planning Development and Monitoring Directorate and Coordinator of the Five-Year Strategic Plan Development Committee, said that a plan would be formulated to attract students, teach them farming skills, sustain them, and sell them.
In the interaction, Narayan Municipality Deputy Mayor Taptakumari Thapa, University Planning Council member and Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering Associate Prof. Dr. Rajan Suwal, former chairmen of the campus management committee Tek Bahadur Khand, Khadka Bahadur Sinjapati, Tej Bahadur Chand, Federation of Nepali Journalists Dailekh President Amar Bahadur Sunar, and Sushma Shahi, treasurer of the campus's self-funded university, among others, suggested bringing a plan keeping in mind the need for regular and technology-friendly class operations, practical and life-useful education, and measures to be adopted for the development and expansion of the campus.
