Nov 29, Kathmandu - Police have stopped supporters of the monarchy from demonstrating at Bijulibazar in Kathmandu.

An attempt was made to demonstrate at Bijulibazar in Kathmandu on Saturday (Mangsir 13) under the leadership of Shahi Yuva Shakti Nepal, advocating for the restoration of the monarchy. However, a large number of police deployed there removed the people who had reached Bijulibazar to demonstrate.

Police have said that one person has been taken into custody in the process.

Police have informed that the stop was made after they tried to demonstrate without permission from the administration.

The royalists had previously been demonstrating in the Samakhusi area. On Saturday, they had tried to demonstrate at Bijulibazar.
