This is how Ukraine attacked a Russian oil tanker!

Nov 30, Kathmandu - Ukrainian officials say Ukrainian naval drones have targeted two oil tankers belonging to Russia's so-called shadow fleet as they pass through the Black Sea.

Video verified by the BBC shows an underwater drone crashing through waves towards a ship, causing flames to erupt.

According to Turkish officials, the tankers targeted were the Kairos and the Virat. Both flew the Gambian flag. They were attacked off the Turkish coast on Friday.

According to reports, Virat was targeted again on Saturday. However, there were no casualties in this attack.

This attack shows that Ukraine is now trying to harm Russia's oil revenues. This is considered important to maintain the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Both ships are reportedly part of Russia’s shadow fleet, a term used to describe hundreds of tankers that Russia uses to evade Western sanctions.

The sanctions were imposed on Russia in 2022, after it launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The shadow fleet is mostly made up of older tankers, many of which have unclear ownership or insurance details.
