Nov 30, Kathmandu - India's star cricketer Virat Kohli has scored his 52nd century in One Day International cricket.
Kohli scored his 52nd century in the first ODI against South Africa on Sunday. Kohli completed 100 runs in 102 balls at the Ranchi ground. In the process, he hit seven fours and five sixes. He also became the player to score the most centuries in a single format.
Kohli surpassed Sachin in 2023 to become the player to score the most centuries in ODI cricket. Sachin had scored 49 centuries in ODIs. The 37-year-old Kohli has also broken another record of Sachin.
Kohli is also the Indian player to score the most centuries in ODIs against South Africa. So far, he has hit 6 centuries in 32 matches. The great cricketer Sachin had scored five centuries in 57 ODIs against South Africa.
Kohli also became the player to score the most 50-plus scores while playing ODIs at home. He has achieved the feat of scoring 50-plus scores 100 times at home.
