Dec 01, Kathmandu - Lab services have been launched in all health institutions of Rurukshetra Rural Municipality. With the launch of lab services at the Thanapati Health Post in Ward No. 3, lab services have become accessible to citizens of all six wards of Rurukshetra.
One lab technician has been added to each health post to operate the lab service. After the start of the lab service, the locals no longer have to go to Ridi or Shringa Hospital to get blood, urine, hormone and other tests. Similarly, the rural municipality has stated that it has become easier to provide services such as blood tests for pregnant and other patients, and identification of blood groups.
The health post had previously provided services such as vaccination services, pregnancy check-ups, family planning, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and availability of government-prescribed medicines. According to Rural Municipality Chairman Yadu Gyawali, Rurukshetra is becoming a leader in the health sector. “The goal is to provide easy health facilities to all citizens within the municipality,” said Chairman Gyawali, “We have worked as per the election commitment.” He said that the final preparations for the operation of a 15-bed hospital in Ridi are underway.
