South African Batsman Du Plessis in Kathmandu

Dec 01, Kathmandu - South African batsman Faf du Plessis has arrived in Kathmandu. He has come to Nepal to play in the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Du Plessis has been added to the team by Biratnagar Kings. Du Plessis, who arrived in Kathmandu on Monday (Mangsir 15), was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Du Plessis, who is also a former captain of South Africa, has experience playing in franchise cricket leagues around the world. He competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2022 to 2024.

He has played 69 Tests, 143 ODIs and 50 T20 international cricket for South Africa. During this time, he has hit 23 centuries and 66 half-centuries.
