Dec 02, Kathmandu - 25 billionaires from different countries are gathering in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, to participate in the 'World Peace Program.' The third commemorative 'World Peace Program' to be organized by the World Peace Program will be held from Mangsir 24-26.
According to the program's media coordinator Sulochana Khatiwada, Suresh Kumar Madhusudhan, chairman of the Seagull International Group in Kerala, India, Lojze Peterle, the first Prime Minister of independent Slovenia and former member of the European Parliament, Tamrat Lane, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, and Dr. Siddique Ahmed of Iram Holdings, who has been doing business in the UAE and India, are participating in the program.
Khatiwada informed that more than 10,000 people will participate in the program. According to her, leaders from Nepal and abroad, scholars, UN cultural ambassadors, businessmen who have made a name for themselves in international trade, artists, youth and community representatives will participate. In addition, members of the Lumbini Chinese business delegation will participate in the program.
The program will also discuss issues such as peace, climate change, development, internal welfare and social justice, and practical peacebuilding. The program coordinator Shekhar Gautam said that the discussion and debate will focus on the voices of youth, women, indigenous communities, and the marginalized, focusing on local governance.
