Dec 04, Kathmandu - Chris Lynn's half-century helped Sudurpaschim Rolls set a target of 170 runs for Chitwan Rhinos in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Batting first after losing the toss, defending runners-up Sudurpaschim scored 169 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs in Thursday's day-night match at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur.
Lynn, who opened with Binod Bhandari after regular opener Josh Brown was rested, top-scored with 75 runs. He hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in 56 balls. Lynn retired after the 17th over.
Lynn shared a 46-run partnership with Binod Bhandari for the first wicket. Similarly, he shared a 45-run partnership with Arif Sheikh for the fifth wicket.
Arif Sheikh and Captain Dipendra remained unbeaten and scored 24 runs each.
Sudurpaschim captain Dipendra Singh Airee, who came to the crease at the start of the 18th over after Lin retired, batted aggressively and hit 2 sixes in 14 balls. Arif hit 2 fours and 1 six in 16 balls. Binod Bhandari scored 21 and Punit Mehra scored 13 runs.
In bowling, Chitwan's Saif Zaib took 2 wickets and Ranjit Kumar and George Smruksh took 1 wicket each.
