Russian President Putin Warns of More Force if Ukraine Does Not Leave Donbas Region

Dec 05, Kathmandu - Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Ukrainian forces will use more force to seize the Donbas region if it does not leave, and has made it clear that he will not agree to any other deal to end the war in Ukraine.

Putin, who is on a visit to India, warned journalists that Ukraine would escalate its aggression if it did not leave the area it was occupying, the BBC reported. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the international community to increase pressure on Russia, saying that no territory can be given up.

While the US peace plan is being discussed, the future of the occupied territories and security guarantees for Ukraine have not yet been finalized.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has claimed that an agreement to end the Russia-Ukraine war is close. Trump's comments come as the Russian president has threatened to use more force against Ukraine.
