Dec 06, Kathmandu - The first match of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) in the capital today will be between Sudurpaschim Royals and Biratnagar Kings. Biratnagar won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur.
Sudurpaschim is undefeated and has reached the first qualifier with 12 points from six matches. Biratnagar, who has secured a place in the playoffs with eight points, needs a win today to play the first qualifier.
Biratnagar will play the first qualifier against Sudurpaschim, who won with a good run rate. Otherwise, they will play an eliminator with Lumbini Lions. After that, Sudurpaschim and Kathmandu Gorkhas will face each other in the first qualifier. Chitwan Rhinos and Pokhara Avengers will compete today at 3:30 pm.
