Dec 06, Kathmandu - President Ram Chandra Poudel has called for the successful election of members of the House of Representatives scheduled for Falgun 21. Inaugurating the newly constructed administrative building of Lalitpur Metropolitan City on Saturday, he called for the successful election of members of the House of Representatives to find a solution to the current situation in the country.

President Poudel said that the desire of the new generation should be to develop the country through good governance with agility in service delivery and instill confidence that the future is secure only in this system. He emphasized the need to fulfill the desire of the young generation to fulfill the responsibilities of development by strengthening the constitution and the federal democratic republic.

President Poudel said that local governments in particular should pay attention to fulfilling the aspirations of citizens. He said that since the government is close to the citizens, the services provided by the local level and the good governance provided should enhance the citizens' trust in the system.

President Poudel opined that development that can not only build infrastructure but also improve the living standards of citizens and bring happiness to their faces is the need of the day.

President Poudel said that the democratic conduct and style of listening to the complaints, dissatisfaction, and demands of the people and reaching out to their doorsteps to understand them is equally important. He said that the achievements made by Lalitpur Metropolitan City, famous in the country and abroad as the Heritage City, along with the tireless efforts made by it in the reconstruction and conservation of heritage, have raised new hopes in this area.
