Dec 07, Kathmandu - Letters have been sent to the homes of party members on behalf of Chairman KP Sharma Oli to invite them to participate in the inaugural session of the 11th National Convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) starting on Mangsir 27.
Rajan Bhattarai, in-charge of the party's Bagmati Province and secretary of the public mobilization committee formed for the general convention, said that a pamphlet (letter) has been prepared and sent on behalf of Chairman Oli to make the pro-democracy forces realize the need to unite.
Oli has urged that the general convention should be transformed into an important opportunity to demonstrate the solidarity of the people against the crisis facing nationalism, democracy and the constitution.
Describing UML as the guardian of nationalism and national pride, the charioteer of democracy, the initiator of social justice and security, the hero of good governance and development, and the party that will fulfill the dream of a prosperous Nepal, happy Nepalese, Oli has described the current political situation as a ‘time of serious challenges’.
The 11th National General Convention of UML is being inaugurated at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur on November 11 at 12:30 pm. UML has planned to specially invite cadres and the public from Bagmati, Gandaki and Madhesh provinces for the inauguration, said Secretary Dr. Bhattarai.
