Dec 07, Kathmandu - A fire has broken out at an under-construction restaurant in Thamel, Kathmandu.

The fire broke out at the under-construction 'Work It Pop' restaurant located in Budhabare Galli, Thamel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 at 10:30 am today, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jageshwor Bhandari, Chief of Police Circle Lainchaur.

According to him, the fire, which broke out due to an electrical short circuit, was brought under control after about 45 minutes. Nepal Police had taken the help of two fire engines from Kathmandu Metropolitan City to control the fire.

Circle Chief Bhandari said that the fire has now been completely brought under control. The police are collecting details about the extent of damage caused by the fire.
