Dec 07, Kathmandu - Radhika Aryal, Secretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has said that AI has destroyed the value and credibility of news.

Speaking at the 16th annual general meeting of the Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON), she said this. She said that journalism as a whole is in a serious state. She said that AI has increased uncertainty about where journalism will take it. She said that AI has destroyed the value and credibility of news content. She urged journalists to pay attention to this as it is necessary to make the journalism sector reliable and trustworthy. She said, ‘The entire journalism sector is in a serious state. AI has increased uncertainty about where journalism will take it. AI has destroyed the value and credibility of news content.’

Stating that the government is always with journalism in its positive steps, Secretary Aryal pledged that the government will always support it in taking positive steps.
