Dec 08, Kathmandu - The Presidential Graduate School is set to award the 'Presidential Platinum Cap' to the best performing player in the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The college, located in Baneshwor, Thapagaun, Kathmandu, affiliated with Westcliff University in the US, has announced that the player who scores the most runs in each day's game will be honored with the 'Presidential Platinum Cap'.
The player who scores the most runs throughout the tournament will receive the Platinum Cap on the day the tournament ends, informed college president Laxman KC.
The players who receive the cap, which will be provided in collaboration with CAN, will take to the field wearing the same platinum cap in the upcoming matches.
Adam Rossington, Mark Watt and Ravi Bopara, who scored the most runs during the tournament, wore this cap. Currently, Adam Rossington, a foreign player from Pokhara Avengers, is at the top of the list of highest run-scorers, which is why he is the current platinum cap holder.
The special program and awards have been announced to inspire more in the NPL, believing that sports can increase the capacity and morale of the youth.
