Dec 08, Kathmandu - Ncell is now going to provide mobile numbers starting with the new number range 971. The company has stated that it is preparing to start distributing new SIMs within the second week of Shrawan.

The Nepal Telecommunications Authority had granted permission to Ncell to distribute numbers with this number range on 14th Jestha.

Ncell, which had previously been allowed to provide services through 980, 981, 982, and 970 by the authority, is going to provide a new number range as those numbers become insufficient.

This new number range has been issued in accordance with the rules of the authority's National Numbering Distribution Plan. In addition, Ncell has requested various service providers, government and non-government organizations, offices, banks, and financial institutions to integrate and update this new number range in their respective systems for customer service like other ranges currently in operation.
