Talks Continue between Prime Minister Karki and Coordinator Prasai at Singha Durbar

Dec 08, Kathmandu - A formal meeting has begun between Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Durga Prasai, the patron of the Civil Defense Party. Prasai, who is also the coordinator of the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Civil Defense Campaign, is holding discussions with Prime Minister Karki about the main points of the 27-point demands that the government has put forward.

Prime Minister Karki and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal are also participating in the ongoing discussions at Singha Durbar on Monday.

The 27-point demand letter submitted to the government by the Prasain group earlier included demands such as completely repealing the current constitution of Nepal and drafting a new constitution, implementing a directly elected executive head system instead of the president, and establishing a monarchy and a Hindu state.

Prasai's demands include restoring a Hindu nation by changing the policy of secularism, protecting nationalism from foreign influence, controlling elements that disrupt public peace, and fully ensuring civil liberties. Prasai submitted these demands to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal on November 20.
