Dec 11, Kathmandu - The government has decided to approve the agreement reached with the Gen-Z youth on Wednesday. A Cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Thursday approved the understanding between Prime Minister Sushila Karki and representatives of the Gen-Z youth, and has decided to publish it in the Gazette, according to government spokesperson and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharal.
The meeting also decided that the relevant ministry will implement the agreement with high priority. Additionally, the Cabinet agreed to expand the scope of the Gen-Z Movement Investigation Commission in accordance with the agreement between the Prime Minister and Gen-Z representatives, Kharal added.
Furthermore, the meeting approved the appointment of Puskar Sapkota, a First-Class Deputy Secretary in the Nepal Justice Service Law Group working in the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, to a Special Grade position in the Gazette, and assigned him as the Secretary of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ Office, based on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission.
Lastly, Kharal informed that the Prime Minister has been handed over the report prepared by the committee formed to assess damages caused during the Gen-Z Movement and to develop a plan for the reconstruction of public infrastructure.
