Dec 12, Kathmandu - Newly appointed Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security Rajendra Singh Bhandari has committed to working in a manner that ensures good governance for all citizens.
The minister made this pledge after taking charge at the Ministry of Labour on Friday afternoon at the Singh Durbar administrative complex. Addressing the media, Bhandari stated his determination to take strict action against organized crimes in the labour sector.
He also announced plans to establish a special task force to combat such criminal networks effectively. "I do not intend to give lengthy speeches; rather, I aim to deliver results through action," Bhandari emphasized.
The minister further said, “There are numerous organized gangs involved in illegal activities. We must take strict action against them. The networks we see exposed in the media must be dismantled. I believe my experience will help in this endeavour. Collaboration with relevant law enforcement agencies and the Home Ministry is essential. We may even form a dedicated special task force to tackle this issue.”
Bhandari also assured that, under the coordination of the Home Ministry, efforts to investigate and combat labour-related crimes will be prioritized.
