Department of Drug Management Inspects Pharmacy Service at Bharatpur Hospital

Dec 14, Kathmandu - The Department of Drug Management has inspected and monitored the pharmacy service operating at Bharatpur Hospital.

A team including the Director General of the Department, Narayan Prasad Dhakal, inspected and monitored the pharmacy service operating at the hospital today.

The team inspected the pharmacies operating in the hospital, including health insurance, OPD, indoor, OT, compounding pharmacy lab, informed Sabin Raj Lamichhane, head of the pharmacy department.

During the inspection, Dhakal praised the services being provided by Bharatpur Hospital and suggested increasing the capacity of the medicine storage branch, he said. The department has also inspected whether the pharmacies operating in Bharatpur Hospital are in accordance with the Good Pharmacy Practice Guidelines.

Lamichhane informed that they are currently practicing according to the said guidelines and will soon be in the process of documenting it.

He said, ‘We are currently working according to the Kushal Pharmacy Practice Guidelines. We will complete its process soon. Director General Dhakal has suggested aspects to be added and done in it. Further work will be done accordingly.’
