Australia Shooting: 24-year-old man one of two arrested

Dec 15, Kathmandu - The name and photo of one of the two gunmen arrested in the shooting that killed 12 people on Sunday at Bondi Beach in Australia have been released.

According to international media, one of the people arrested on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist attack is Naveed Akram.

The 24-year-old worked as a mechanic in western Sydney. He had recently lost his job.

According to police, Naveed Akram was arrested along with another attacker. One of the attackers died in the attack, but it is not yet clear whether the deceased was Akram or the other.

Two gunmen opened fire indiscriminately on Jews celebrating Hanukkah on Bondi Beach in Australia on Sunday.

Australian police have confirmed that at least 12 people have been killed and 29 people have been injured.
