IPL Mini Auction Being Held Today

Dec 16, Kathmandu -The mini auction for the 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is taking place today. The auction, to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, will begin at 2:45 PM Nepali time today.

350 players will be bid on in this mini auction with a purse of Rs 237.55 crore for 10 teams. Only 77 players will be picked by the teams from this auction.

In this auction, 40 players have registered their names at the highest base price of Rs 20 million, while 227 players have registered their names at the lowest base price of Rs 3 million. The list includes players like Cameron Green, Liam Livingstone, Steve Smith, Ravi Bishnoi, Venkatesh Iyer, Mathisha Pathirana and Wanindu Hasaranga.

Foreign players from 14 countries including Afghanistan, Australia, England, Bangladesh, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Scotland and the United States have been registered in the auction list.
