Ministry of Labor to Launch 'Help to Help 10 Cell' to Prevent Fraud in Foreign Employment

Dec 16, Kathmandu - The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security is set to launch a 'Help to Help 10 Cell' center to prevent fraud in foreign employment.

At a press conference organized at the ministry today, the ministry's secretary, Dr. Krishna Hari Pushkar, informed that the 'Help to Help 10 Cell' will be launched from Poush 8. He said that this system is being launched on the occasion of International Migrants Day to provide official information and support in safe decisions for all workers.

According to Secretary Pushkar, a 'Help to Help 10 Cell' is being established by encompassing the Employment Information Centers in 753 municipalities across the country, labor offices in all seven provinces, the Department of Foreign Employment, and the Solution Call Center.

He said that the objective is to ensure that workers can make decisions based on official state information, avoid fraud and false temptations spreading through digital means, and ensure complete safety in foreign employment.

According to Secretary Pushkar, in recent times, misleading propaganda such as 'you can earn so much money' and 'we can easily send you to such and such a country' has increased through social media including TikTok and Facebook Reels. He believes that this cell will be effective in protecting workers from that.

Through the 'Help to Help Ten Cell', workers going for foreign employment will be able to get answers to 10 key questions. These include whether there is a demand for employment in which country, which are the official manpower companies, qualifications required for the job, age, training, health condition, expenses incurred, payment process, safe travel methods, and official contact addresses of the concerned agencies.
