Chinese Goods Seized by Armed Police Due to Lack of Invoice and Customs Declaration

Dec 16, Kathmandu - The Armed Police Force detained a person for carrying Chinese goods without proper invoices and customs declaration papers.

The security team deployed from the Armed Police Force Nepal Security Base in Lamosaanghu detained Shivalal Tamang of Barhabise, Barhabise Municipality-6, Sindhupalchok District, on Monday at Barhabise Market, Barhabise Municipality-4.

The arrest occurred during a routine check of vehicle BA 4 Kha 5864, coming from Tatopani towards Khadichaur. The vehicle was found to be loaded with goods lacking necessary invoices and customs declaration documents, according to the Armed Police Force.

The seized items include stationery, sports equipment, and various grocery items. The estimated value of the confiscated goods is NPR 722,010, and the vehicle's value is NPR 1,500,000.

The detainee, Tamang, along with the confiscated goods and vehicle, will be handed over to the Tatopani Customs Office in Sindhupalchok for further legal action, the Armed Police Force has informed.
