RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane Welcomed in Kathmandu with Traditional Drums and Celebration

Dec 20, Kathmandu - Rabi Lamichhane, the leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), was warmly welcomed in Kathmandu amidst traditional drums and celebrations.

On Saturday, Lamichhane arrived in Kathmandu from Chitwan. He was greeted at Tribhuvan International Airport by RSP leaders and supporters who welcomed him with traditional music and festivities. Supporters and party members gathered at the airport to extend their greetings.

Lamichhane, who was previously detained over allegations of embezzlement involving funds from the Swarnim Cooperative Society in Butwal, was released on Friday. According to the order from the High Court's Butwal bench in Tulsipur, he was released after paying a bond and settling dues equal to the amount involved in the case.

He had travelled from Rupendehi to Chitwan on Friday and arrived in Kathmandu from Chitwan on Saturday.
