Dec 20, Kathmandu - Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has said that the mobile business has played an important role in making the country's economy dynamic and connecting the society. Inaugurating the second convention and third general assembly of the Nepal Mobile Entrepreneurs Association, Kathmandu, he mentioned that millions of Gen Z youth have joined the mobile business, creating employment in the country.
Stating that the government is ready to solve the problems of mobile entrepreneurs, Minister Kharel expressed his commitment to tear apart the web of corruption within the MDMS system. He said that everyone should take joint initiatives to stop the situation where a large number of youth go abroad every day.
At the program, Bharat Bhattarai, President of the Nepal Mobile Entrepreneurs Association, demanded a clear implementation or repeal of the MDMS system, while Kathmandu District President Suresh Baniya urged the government to legalize second-hand mobile transactions and give priority to Nepali products.
