Pakistan Wins U-19 Asia Cup title Defeating India

Dec 21, Kathmandu - Pakistan has won the ACC U-19 Asia Cup title in the UAE, defeating India. Pakistan won the U-19 Asia Cup title by defeating India by 191 runs in the final match held today.

Chasing a huge target of 348 runs set by Pakistan, India were bundled out for 156 runs in 26 overs. Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi top-scored with 26 runs for India.

None of the Indian batters could settle at the crease. Pakistan's bowlers Ali Raja took 3 wickets and Mohammad Sayan, Abdul Shubhan and Huzaifa Hasan took 2 wickets each.

Earlier, Pakistan, who had won the toss and batted first, had scored 347 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

Sameer Minhas batted brilliantly for Pakistan. He scored 172 runs off 113 balls. Another batter Ahmed Hussein contributed 56 runs. In the bowling, India's Dipesh Devendharan took 3 wickets, while Helin Patel and Khilan Patel took 2 wickets each. Nepal, on the other hand, were eliminated from the group stage without a win.
