Dec 22, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that the Congress should work to bring Nepal out of misrule and corruption. Thapa said this while addressing voters and workers of Kathmandu area 4 on Monday.

"Now the Congress should work to bring Nepal out of misrule and corruption," Thapa said in his address. He said that everyone should apologize for the mistakes made so far.

General Secretary Thapa said that he is the candidate for the party president of the 15th general convention and expects everyone to support him. He said that the party general convention is not only about party leadership but also about building a new party. ‘I am the candidate for the party president of the 15th general convention. The general convention is not only about creating a new leadership but also about building a new party,’ Thapa said.

He clarified that the Congress party will not participate in the Falgun 21 elections until the convention is held, so if there is no regular general convention, the problem will be resolved through a special general convention. General Secretary Thapa has also appealed for support to conclude this general convention in the first phase without entering the second phase.

He emphasized that he should become a force in his constituency as he is a candidate for the party president. He clarified that since he rose from a central member to general secretary in Kathmandu 4, this constituency has become a force, and now the support of this constituency is important.

General Secretary Thapa emphasized that the election on Falgun 21 is necessary to bring the constitution into tact. He also urged everyone to participate in the election, saying that if there is no election, the country will face great uncertainty.
