Dec 23, Kathmandu - The meeting between Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has garnered attention in Nepali politics.
Rabi's political activism after his release from prison and his meeting with Balen have been discussed in political circles as an election collaboration.
This noteworthy meeting took place at the house of outgoing MP and central member of the RSP Asim Shah, in Kamalpokhari. After the meeting between Rabi and Balen, Shah said on social media that the story has a happy beginning. He also called the meeting between Rabi and Balen a reunion of two brothers. He also congratulated all Nepalese, claiming that this is a reunion of hope that the country has been looking for, not just for individuals.
Leader Shah, who did not reveal what the conversation was about or what the discussion was focused on, says, "Finally, the story has a happy beginning. Rabi and Balen are two brothers. This is a reunion of hope that the country has been looking for, not just for individuals. Congratulations to all of us Nepalese."
Balen and Rabi spent five hours at Shah's residence. Balen and Rabi, who met at Shah's residence from 8 pm on Monday, left only at 1 am.
RSP Deputy Chairman DP Aryal also participated in the discussion with Rabi and Balen, while Kumar Ben from the Balen group was with him. Despite such a long discussion, neither group has made any formal announcement about the meeting public.

The owner of the house where Balen and Rabi met, RSP leader Asim, is a co-chairman of the dissolved House of Representatives. Shah is a Muslim MP. He is also a former film director.
