Investigation Committee Cleared Former Home Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi and Two Others of Travel Restrictions

Dec 23, Kathmandu - The Commission of Inquiry into the Gen-Z Movement has relieved the positions of three people, including former Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi.

The commission decided on Tuesday to release Duwadi, along with former IGP Chandra Kuber Khapung and Kathmandu Chief District Officer Chhabilal Rijal, for questioning and investigation into the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24.

The Commission had banned them from traveling abroad and leaving the Kathmandu Valley. However, in a letter sent by the Commission to the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday, it was stated, "As the work on the preliminary decision has been completed, it is requested to lift the order prohibiting them from traveling abroad and leaving the valley as per the decision." The Commission has also imposed a place limit on UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Ramesh Lekhak, among others.
