Dec 23, Kathmandu - Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has said that he has not entered into any discussions to make Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah the Prime Minister.

Talking to reporters in Chitwan on Tuesday, who is leaving for Bhairahawa to appear in court, he said that yesterday's meeting was focused only on understanding each other.

When asked by reporters whether there was an agreement to make Balen the Prime Minister, he said, "We have not entered into that. We had to find out first. We had to have a conversation. We had to understand what is going on. We had to get information about the situation from each other."

There was a discussion between Balen and Rabi in ​​Kathmandu on Monday. Lamichhane said that he would gradually enter political matters. "We will gradually enter political matters," he said.

He also clarified that the meeting with Balen was in line with their policy of dialogue with new forces. “We had said that we would hold talks with new forces,” Lamichhane said, “and we have taken this discussion forward as a part of that.”

He informed that talks would be held not only with Balen but also with other political forces. “Now we will hold talks with other political forces as well,” Lamichhane said, “Now we will also hold talks with Mr. Kulman. We will try to reach a consensus by holding talks with everyone. As I said, the RSP has moved forward.”
