Dec 26, Kathmandu - The controversial Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 franchise league is set to begin today.
The BPL season is set to begin two months after the investigation committee submitted its report on corruption in the BPL.
Nepal's star spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is also playing in the BPL this season. Sandeep's team Rajshahi Warriors will take on Sylhet Titans at 3:45 pm.
The corruption probe report is more than 900 pages long. An independent investigation committee submitted the report to the Bangladesh Cricket Board two months ago.
The cricket board has not made public the names of the cricketers named in the report. However, last month, nine players were excluded from this season's player auction list.
Some of the players who were not included in the auction list have expressed their anger publicly. One has even threatened to file a lawsuit against the cricket board.
