Nepal's tallest earthquake-resistant bridge is being built at Lendanda in Makawanpur

Dec 27, Kathmandu - The construction of a bridge at Lendanda in Makawanpur under the Terai-Madhesh Expressway is underway at a rapid pace.

A 270-meter-long and Nepal's tallest earthquake-resistant bridge is being constructed at this location in Makawanpurgadhi and Bakaiya rural municipalities. The 71.5-kilometer-long expressway, which is a national pride project, is being constructed under the management of the Nepali Army.

Out of the plans to construct 89 large bridges and 6 tunnels in this project, 3 tunnels and 5 bridges have been completed so far. The overall physical progress of the expressway is currently 38 percent.
