Dec 28, Kathmandu - Citizen Chan Min Ching, the operator of Waldo Casino in Thamel, was arrested on Friday, said Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Range.

Police have arrested him on charges of running a casino fraud business and are investigating. Players at the casino played with lenses in their eyes and magnetic cards. The event was organized by bringing professional players from India.

The event was held at Waldo Casino from December 11 to 14. The event on that day was organized by Mahakaya Group.

Mahakaya Group had accommodated casino players from India in various hotels in Kathmandu. The players were brought there by providing free air tickets.

Earlier, the police have arrested six people from the casino.
