Chitwan Festival: Elephants are treated to a 15-course feast

Dec 28, Kathmandu - The 19th Chitwan Elephant and Tourism Festival, which is being held in Sauraha, a tourist town in Chitwan, has concluded today. The festival concluded with elephant worship and a feast for elephants.

A special feast was organized for elephants today. The elephants were given 15 dishes to eat in the fest.

Various entertainment activities including elephant beauty pageant, boat race, elephant football were held throughout the festival.

The festival, organized at Baghmara Chaur in Sauraha, is being organized by Hotel Association Nepal, sponsored by Ratnanagar Municipality, and co-organized by United Elephant Operation Cooperative Society Limited.

Around 80 elephants, both from the government and private sectors, participated in various activities during the festival.
