Dec 28, Kathmandu - Dakneshwari Municipality in Saptari has closed schools for five days as the cold wave intensifies.

The closure aims to protect students from the adverse health effects of the cold weather. Schools will remain closed from Monday to Friday.

The municipality's Chief Administrative Officer, Bijay Kumar Mandal, issued a notice on Sunday informing all schools not to carry out any teaching-related work.

Earlier, all community schools in Bodebarsaien Municipality in the district were closed for five days.
