Dec 29, Kathmandu - In the ongoing Women's Volleyball Championship, Sudurpaschim Province secured a consolation victory by defeating Madhesh Province in a straight-sets match. The match took place on Monday at the National Sports Council’s indoor hall in Tripureshwor.
Sudurpaschim’s team triumphed over Madhes Province with scores of 25-21, 25-14, and 25-17.
Earlier, Sudurpaschim had faced defeats in their first two matches — losing 3-0 to Nepal Police Club and to APF in the second game. Madhesh Province also lost their opener to APF but still has a match remaining against Nepal Police in the tournament.
In the women's category’s opening game, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated New Diamond in a straight sets 3-0.
Meanwhile, in the men's matches held on Monday, Rukum West Volleyball Training Center defeated Boudhinalkantha Volleyball Training Center 3-0, and Tribhuvan Army Club also won their game against Kirtipur Volleyball Training Center with the same scoreline.
