Dec 30, Kathmandu - Nepali cricket team captain Gyanendra Malla is now set to enter politics. He will be joining the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Malla, who is also the assistant coach of the national cricket team, has been included in the proportional list of the RSP for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Gyanendra is also included in the list of 110 candidates submitted by the RSP to the Election Commission for the said elections. He is ranked fifth in the list of indigenous men.
It will be interesting to see what kind of results Gyanendra, who has achieved a decent success in his cricket career, will achieve in politics.
He has played 37 ODIs and 35 T20I matches for Nepal, in which Gyanendra has scored a total of over 1,700 runs.
