Dec 30, Kathmandu - The Nepali Congress has submitted the list of proportional candidates for the House of Representatives to the Election Commission. The Congress submitted a list of 110 candidates on Tuesday.
Party leaders including Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel submitted the list of candidates to the Commission at 11:30 am today. The Congress has decided to give priority to new faces and not include those who received proportional opportunities from 2064 to 2079 BS in the list.
Out of the 14 office bearers, only Joint General Secretary Bhishma Raj Angdembe is on the list.
Former Joint General Secretary Arjun Narsingh KC has also been recommended as a proportional candidate from Nuwakot. According to the head of the publicity department, Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, priority has been given to 15 young candidates under the age of 35 and new faces who have worked in the Nepali Sangh and Tarun Dal.
