Jan 02, Kathmandu - A tractor accident occurred last night on the Chorkate-Shantipur road section in Phulbari, Chandrakot Rural Municipality-4, Gulmi. The police reported that the driver was found buried in sand at the scene.

According to reports, the tractor with license plate number Lu 2 Ta 3935, heading towards Shantipur after gambling, lost control around 9 p.m. Thursday night and rolled approximately 20 meters off the road into a field.

The driver, identified as Suraj Sarki, approximately 24/25 years old and a resident of Khaireli, Ward 6 of Gulmi Rural Municipality, was found buried in sand at the scene.

During the process of retrieving the tractor for repairs, the driver’s leg was visible under the sand, prompting authorities to secure the area and initiate further investigation.

Due to the serious nature of the accident, additional police personnel from the Reedi Police Office in Gulmi have been deployed to the site.

The police stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
