UML Recommends 10 Candidates in Palpa, Which Has 2 Constituencies

Jan 05, Kathmandu - UML in Palpa has recommended 10 names for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. UML Palpa Chairman Om Bahadur Gharti said that since Palpa, which has two constituencies, could not reach an agreement on a single name for both constituencies, the names of 6 people from Constituency 1 and 4 people from Constituency 2 have been recommended.

UML District President Gharti said that the names of UML central member and outgoing member of the House of Representatives Narayan Prasad Acharya, UML Lumbini Province Committee Chairman and former Constituent Assembly member Radha Krishna Kandel, Central Accounts Commission member and youth leader Nil Saru, UML District Vice-President Bimal Kafle, leader Shiva Aryal and leader Durgadevi Rana have been recommended from Palpa Constituency No. 1. Saru, Kafle, Aryal and Rana are new faces.

Regional Committee Chairman Chiranjivi Pokharel informed that the names of 4 people, including former Finance Minister and UML Vice-Chairman Bishnu Prasad Poudel, have been recommended from Region 2.

From the regional committee meeting, UML has nominated Poudel, UML central member and outgoing member of the House of Representatives Thakur Prasad Gaire, Constituent Assembly member (2064) Narayani Devi Sharma Ghimire and leader Dr. Ram Bahadur Raut from Region No. 2. Raut is the only new face.
