Jan 05, Kathmandu - The Commission of Inquiry into the events of Bhadra 23-24 has officially lifted the travel restrictions imposed on former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. The restrictions, which barred Oli from leaving Kathmandu Valley and traveling abroad, have been revoked following the completion of investigations.
Commission Chairman Gauri Bahadur Karki announced the decision today, confirming that the inquiry related to the incident held no grounds to continue the ban.
In a press release issued by spokesperson Science Raj Sharma, it was stated that during the investigation, a decision was made on Ashwin 12 to restrict Oli’s foreign travel and prohibit him from leaving the Kathmandu Valley. Since the inquiry and related processes have now concluded, the restrictions are deemed no longer justified and have been officially lifted.
