Jan 06, Kathmandu - The CPN-UML has appointed Vice President Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal as the commander for the upcoming election on Falgun 21.

A secretariat meeting held at the party's central office in Chyasal on Tuesday decided to appoint Badal as the election commander.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta said that it has been decided that the UML will enter the election under the leadership of Vice President Badal.

Leader Bishnu Rimal has been appointed as the secretary of the election mobilization committee. He was also defeated for the positions of Deputy General Secretary and Central Member in the 11th General Convention of the UML.

He has been given an important responsibility for the Falgun 21 election, close to Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
