Fire Causes Damage to Warehouse and Nearby School in Sinamangal Gairigaun

Jan 06, Kathmandu - The fire that broke out in the warehouse where wood used in cargo is collected and sold in Sinamangal Gairigaun has also damaged the building of the nearby Loyola Secondary School.

The fire that broke out in the warehouse of Ishwor Karki around 3 pm on Tuesday has damaged a building of the nearby school.

Karki said that three or four children were seen playing in the warehouse before the fire broke out and smoke was seen shortly after they were sent outside.

Although there was material damage due to the fire, there is no information about human casualties, said SSP Ramesh Thapa of the District Police Range, Kathmandu.

Of the two fire engines that went to control the fire, only one reached the scene, while the other could not go due to the narrow road.

As soon as the information about the fire was received, teams from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and Municipal Police were mobilized to the scene.
