Jan 06, Kathmandu - A comprehensive interaction on Nepal's digital future through artificial intelligence, AI policy and industrial development has been held at the Nepal Chamber of Commerce. The program was organized at the Chamber building in Jamal, Kathmandu, and was attended by more than two dozen representatives of information technology organizations in the presence of Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel.
Stakeholders said that a common understanding is needed between the government, private sector and stakeholders to build a digital future through effective use of AI technology, policy clarity and legal ease in Nepal.
At the event, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel said that the development of IT is important for the good governance of the country. He said that the development of IT is also important for making government services efficient and effective and for economic transparency.
At the event, Nepal Chamber of Commerce chair Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal said that AI is not just a matter of technology but is also becoming an important basis for economic transparency, promotion of entrepreneurship and job creation. Chairman Agrawal said that the role of AI is important in making public services effective through digital transformation, reducing business costs and bringing transparency in the decision-making process.
