Establishment-side Central Members' Meeting Being Held Tomorrow

Jan 08, Kathmandu - The Nepali Congress's founding party is set to convene a meeting of its central members tomorrow (Friday). The decision to convene the meeting of its central members was made after discussions with party president Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday.

A central member who participated in the discussion with Chairman Deuba informed that a meeting was organized in New Baneshwor at 10:30 am on Friday. He said that top leaders who are in favor of establishment were not invited to the meeting.

"Tomorrow at 10:30 am, only the central members will sit. We are not inviting any of the top leaders," the leader said. "We have also invited a group of 25 central members who won from the establishment side."

Earlier, the central members of the establishment party had been organizing gatherings repeatedly by calling top leaders. They had been adamant that the general convention should not be held before the election.

Meanwhile, the establishment party is organizing a youth gathering at the counter of the special general convention. The gathering scheduled for 27th Paush is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am at the central office, Sanepa.

A leader informed that the joint fraternal organizations have been appointed as the organizers of the gathering titled ‘General Elections, 15th General Convention and the Role of Youth’. The responsibility of coordinating the gathering has been given to Nepal Tarun Dal President Bidhan Gurung.
