Jan 08, Kathmandu - Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil expressed his country's gratitude for China's support for the Venezuelan people's full sovereignty over their territory and natural resources.

Posting on social media, Gil said that the US actions are a serious violation of international law and Venezuela's sovereignty, as well as China's strong condemnation of the United States' lawless actions.

In a regular press briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said that the sovereign state of Venezuela has achieved complete and permanent sovereignty over its natural resources and all economic activities within its territory.

Mao said that the US's chaotic actions seriously violated international law, interfered with Venezuela's sovereignty, and undermined the rights of the Venezuelan people. China strongly condemns the actions of the United States, he said.
