Jan 10, Kathmandu - A 60-year-old man lost his life after drowning in the Mahakali River while attending a funeral procession in Dadeldhura district.

According to the District Police Office, Indrabhadur Bohara, a resident of Parashuram Municipality-9, was bathing in the Mahakali River near Parigau, Parashuram Municipality-5, during the funeral when he suddenly went missing.

A police team dispatched from the Jogbudha Area Police Office launched a search operation. After an extensive search along the riverbank at Kuda, Parashuram-6, the body of Bohara was recovered.

Authorities have confirmed the incident and are investigating further.
